Our Mission
We create transformational music experiences that connect families — from infants to preschool, young adults to elders. With a focus on improvisation, creativity, and Black traditions of music and dance, our goal is simple: bring joy and belonging through the power of sound.

See it, Sing it. Where colors get loud.
A weekly participatory music experience for families with babies 6 weeks to crawling. Includes gallery tour, live musician, and group circle. In collaboration with The Contemporary Arts Center. November 9, 2026 through December 28, 2026.
Each session moves from the gallery to the studio. Families walk through the current exhibition together, then everyone gathers in the classroom studio for a circle to share songs, sing together, and improvise something from what they saw, something that belongs only to that hour, that circle, those mothers and babies.
Rooted in the belief that a woman holding her baby belongs in a gallery, the series draws on New Orleans communal music traditions and Gordon Music Learning Theory. It is led by a developmental music psychologist and a board-certified music therapist and brightened by a singing bowls player and a professional dancer.

Kids age 3-7 sing, dance, make banjos with a master luthier, listen to New Orleans musicians and storytellers, take guided nature walks with a wetland ecologist, question and envision, and create their own audio/visual model of a future New Orleans.
